Cookout Critque

This week…

This week Mimi took to boys on a little trip to try out Cookout for the first time. Together they went through the drive through and ordered a few different items for Marty and Rocko to try. The boys decided that this place must be good with the line being so long!

The Review

Mimi ordered the boys a double bacon cheeseburger, French fries, onion rings, hushpuppies, and a strawberry milkshake to try for this week’s review. First, Marty and Rocko decided to try the sides, starting with the French fries. Both boys gave the fries a 7.5/10. They both thought that the flavor was good, but they were a little greasy. Next up they tried onion rings for the first time. The though of onions made Marty cry a little bit, but he still decided to give them a try. Marty gave them a 5/10, while Rocko have them a 6/10. They were both surprised by the flavor, because they thought it was going to be horrible, but they agreed that it was alright. The last side Marty and Rocko tried was the hushpuppies. They both heard amazing things about Cookouts hushpuppies, and they did not disappoint! Both boys gave them an 8.5/10 due to the amazing flavor, but they also though they were a little greasy, similar to the French fries. Next up they tried their main dish, the double bacon cheeseburger. Marty the burger a 10/10 due to the delicious flavor of the meat, bacon, cheese, and sauces, while Rocko gave it an 8/10. He did this because the burger was a little tough for him to eat with his bad dental hygiene. The final item the boys tried for dessert was a strawberry milkshake. Both boys gave this a 9.2/10. They both agreed that the flavor was amazing, but the consistency of it was more similar to ice-cream than a milkshake.

Overall, the boys collectively decided to give Cookout an 8/10 rating. They both agreed that they have some really great items on the menu, but they greasy texture of some of the items was undesirable. The thickness of the milkshakes are also a bit off, but the flavor is still amazing!
