What do we have today…

This week Marty and Rocko got takeout from Texas Roadhouse. Mimi went through the menu and decided on a couple of items for the boys to try out, then she called it in. Personally, Texas Roadhouse is the best when you can eat it in the restaurant, but we had to make things work so Marty can try it out.

The Review

Mimi ordered the boys a 12oz ribeye steak, chicken tenders, a loaded mashed potato, fried pickles, and of course the famous Texas Roadhouse rolls with cinnamon butter. They started the review off strong with the rolls and butter to imamate the experience they would receive if they could go inside the restaurant. Both boys agreed that the rolls deserve a 9.8/10 due to the delicious flavor and light and airy texture. Before they main course, the boys tried fried pickles for an appetizer. Marty gave the pickles a 5/10, but Rocko only gave them a 2/10. Neither of them were a fan of the sour taste, but Marty thought the fried aspect helped the taste and rating. Next up the boys tried the ribeye streak that was cut up into smaller pieces by Mimi of course. Marty and Rocko both gave the steak a 12/10. The flavor was beyond amazing, with the meat being tender and juicy. They would never tell Mimi this, but Texas Roadhouse makes a better steak than she does. After the ribeye, the boys tried the chicken tenders. Marty gave the tenders a 10/10, while Rocko gave them a 9/10. They both agreed that the flavor was great, but Rocko thought they were a little tough for his teeth. Finally, the last item the boys reviewed was the loaded mashed potato. Both of them gave this dish an 8/10 due to the excellent texture of the potato and the flavor from the cheese, bacon, and sour cream.

Overall, the boys decided to give Texas Roadhouse a 9.5/10. The only dish that was a little bit of a disappointment was the fried pickles, due to the sour flavor. This default was made up for by the meat selection which was absolutely amazing and everything was seasoned to perfection. The hype surrounding their rolls is absolutely understandable as well because they really are delicious!

P.S. Here is a picture of Marty this week stretched out on the couch for an evening nap!
